Staff News

We have some sad news, Kylie, our educator in the Kookaburra’s room is leaving the Centre. Kylie has had a long history with the Centre, with her 2 children attending Styles Street several years ago and Kylie was employed in 2012 as an educator. We wish Kylie all the very best for the future. Kylie’s last day is this Thursday 4th February.

We have advertised for this position and together with the staffing committee we will commence the interview and selection process and will inform families as soon as a candidate has been selected. In the interim our regular casuals will take on the floaters position in the Kooka’s room until a suitable candidate is selected.

Rhonda (Wombat educator) will be returning from Long Service Leave next Monday. Rhonda works M/T/TH/F.

Katie will be on annual leave from 9th-19th February. Cherie and Claire will be replacing her.

Emily and Toby are 2 new early childhood teachers who work in the Kooka’s and Kanga’s room respectively. They are in addition to the educators that are currently employed at our Centre. The Committee made a management decision at the end of last year to add 2 extra early childhood teachers to our team. Research has shown that higher ratios in early childhood settings have better outcomes for children and families.
